On the Argentine side of the border with Bolivia, in Jujuy, Yavi department: near La Quiaca and Quebrada de Toqueros, at 3,700 m
Natural Habitat:
It grows on shale rocks on the slopes of a desert or, more strictly, in a poor semi-desert where rare bushes are spread, several meters apart.
