9 Species of the genus Pachyveria

Pachyveria are hybrid succulents which means that they have been artificially created by merging two species. In this case Pachyphytum and Echeveria. They are very popular succulents as they are easy to grow and come in a range of colours. Pachyveria form in rosettes which can reach over 6 inches in diameter.

They can produce flowers but are generally grown for their leaves which are thick and fleshy. They prefer full sun or partial shade. Avoid direct sun in hot climates. Allow the soil to dry out between watering but make sure that the leaves do not shrivel.

You can identify your Pachyveria from the list of Pachyveria species below. Popular species of Pachyveria are Pachyveria Opalina and Pachyveria glauca (Pachyphytum hookeri x Echeveria sp.).
