All users of Cactuseros.com must comply with the following regulations:
Art. 1. - The comments posted have no value to the competition. If you want to be recognized and earn points, you must make a suggestion and not a comment.
If someone suggests a species through a comment, he/she will have a period of 30 days to confirm or rectify it, after that time it can be suggested by whoever identifies the species and endorses it with reliable links.
The comments serve to discuss the suggestions already made, and not to discuss what to suggest.
In summary: Whoever makes the suggestion first by selecting from the list of species and pressing the suggest button, is the one who will obtain the associated score if it is correct.
Art. 2. - Comments or suggestions will be respected without exception when it comes to a re-identification, especially by those who detected the error in the initial identification.
Art. 3. - You should not ask other users to vote, either because it has been decided by "quorum" which is the species correct, or because there are not enough votes (percentage) to specify the identification. All users have the same right to participate in the competitions.
Art. 4. - In case two correct and equal suggestions are made, the first one will be voted on.
Art. 5. - In case two similar suggestions are made, the most current or correct will be voted on.
Art. 6. - The photos must be real photos of the plant and NEVER TAKEN FROM ANOTHER SITE. They should be clear and be positioned in a way that allows users to appreciate the details of the specimen easily.
Art. 7. - You can not load the same specimen more than once either with different accounts or with the same one; not even when it is a different photo of the same plant. In this last case, the correct thing is to update the specimen already identified, and not load it as a new one in the collection.
Art. 8. - When uploading a new item, the details should be completed as much as possible. Also all questions asked by users should be answered where possible. If the data is insufficient or incorrect, the sample will be eliminated.
Art. 9. - Anyone who has more than one account and tries to use it in their favor by self-voting on the IDs, the contest, or self-supporting your own comments to get the support of other users, will be removed from the site without prior notice.
Art. 10. - When there is a conflict between users, you should go to the moderators, who will try to act as mediators between the parties. In case the conflict is with the moderators, you should go to the administrator of the page. Any lack of respect or insult will result in the removal of the user.
